It reminds everyone that a life after a cancer diagnosis can still be fulfilling and rewarding and for those who weren’t diagnosed, it is also a reminder that life is short, take the trip, buy the shoes, eat the cake
What is National Cancer Survivors Day?
Cancer is a terrible sickness and an ordeal for all those people who were diagnosed with it. As someone who had a loved one go through the treatment for this sickness, I personally feel that every day is Cancer Survivors Day.
Cancer Survivors Day happens every first Sunday of June. It is a day which gives an opportunity for everyone who has had a history of cancer to connect with each other and celebrate the different milestones that they have achieved. It is also a day which gives life to the different ongoing challenges that cancer survivors undergo. This attention promotes more resources and research to improve medication and the quality of life of cancer survivors.
