Do You believe in Fairies?
Once Upon a Time there were kids who grew up to the wonderful world of watching classic fairytale movies. The magical feeling of watching these mythical creatures simply doing their thing, watching over the kids, sprinkling their pixie dust or wand and making the magic work for them are magical moments kids always look forward to.
As kids, we thought IRL we could use some of those moments to grant our instant wishes and request. Like, a snap that helps us instantly clean the house when we are told by parents to do household chores.
Or if we need to dress up for an occasion and we are unsure what to wear.
Sometimes, we like to think fairies are friends that can understand our whims. Even if their way of assuring us is through gentle nods and smiles.
Or, if they are feeling a bit mischievous, creates irreverent noises and shows off their rude demeanor to air their disagreement.
And since fairies are our friendly creatures, they grant our request if they know we want it badly.
Or if we need to learn a lesson.
For one, I don’t think fairies live only in magical land. They live in places where children need to be guided, supervised, and taken care of. Like in the brutal, 1944 Spanish Civil War (fictional setting, of course) a hapless fairy saved Ofelia from harm.
See, they’re real!
If you don’t know the movie reference I am talking about in the previous post, you must have been living under the rock.
Pause the real-world obligations, and unwind your childhood with these magical movies once again.
