On December 27, 2016, just two months and a week into her Diamond Year, the lady the world knew as Princess Leia Organa in the most epic Sci-Fi franchise Star Wars, lost her life a few days after suffering a massive heart attack. Carrie Fisher was 60.
Although she was best known (to some, only known) for portraying the noble Alderaanian who covertly conspired with the Rebel Alliance in the George Lucas Sci-Fi series, she’s had a number of other appearances on hit movies over the years. And, just like the stealthy heart attack that took her life, Carrie Fisher’s cameos are quick, but powerful.
Here are a number of appearances that will blow your mind, and take your breath away:
1. Mother Superior in Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle

A far cry from the feisty sci-fi rebel princess, she surprises viewers as Mother Superior in the sequel to the turn-of-the-millenium hit starring Cameron Diaz, Lucy Liu, and Drew Barrymore. Come to think of it, Princess Leia’s garbs were also kind of nunnish.
2. Driving Nun in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back

She must really enjoy playing women of the cloth, because apparently she had played the nun who picked up the hitchhiking protagonists in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back two years before. In an obvious reference to the Sci-Fi saga that made her famous, and with Buddy Christ on the dashboard, Carrie Fisher catches viewers off-guard with her role driving Jay and Silent Bob to Hollywood. As if to emphasize the reference, fellow Star Wars alum Mark Hamill has a cameo in the film as well.
