Fans of DC’s Caped Crusader have been too excited for the upcoming new Batman film and have been breathing down its new star Ben Affleck’s neck apparently a bit too much (and too loudly). This pressure and anticipation have led their Dark Knight to give up the reins for the project, and the film now needs a new director.

So, can you imagine what this new movie “The Batman” would look and feel like? Let’s think of how the story of Gotham’s gothic guardian would turn out with a new director on the helm:
When Thomas and Martha Wayne are killed, a flock of doves fly across the screen as the first gunshot goes off. In another scene, with Bruce as the dark knight, he fights off a gang of robbers that surround him, but not after a short standoff scene that ends with Batman delivering the first blow (a turning kick) in slow motion with the cape for effect.
He has already proven that he could do a good Batman movie (He did two, actually). If he were given the chance again, Burton would probably cast Johnny Depp as Mad Hatter (no relation to his Disney role) or Helena Bonham Carter as a geekier, more psychotic version of Poison Ivy.
Batman would blow everything up.
Most dramatic and heavy scenes would have a tight close-up of Bruce’s face. Tighter and closer still when he has the mask on. Then towards the end, Batman switches from fighting psychos to going head to head with some weird alien. Or a monster.
If the Batmobile had a trunk, Batman would take his ‘bounty’ to Arkham Asylum by stuffing their beat-up, mangled bodies in the trunk, giving a short witty speech with the camera shooting from inside the trunk. Then he’d slam the door and drive to Arkham to the tune of a weird remake of the Batman Theme.

Don’t Worry, Bat-fleck fans. Big Ben’s still going to star and produce it.
