The Best of Anime celebrates its 10th year anniversary this 2019 and every one are very excited to see what’s new on one of the biggest anime convention in the Philippines. BOA started way back in 2009 and had the eventurers engaged with various activities and competitions like All-Star Cosplay Competitions, Inter-School Cosplay Competition Championship, Battle of the Bands, etc. They’ve also brought some of the top artists from different countries like Reika, Yugene Fay, An Café, Onnies, Kors K, Hyko and a lot more.
So, what we can expect on BOA 2019?
A fun-filled 2-day event
Primetrade Asia planned this 10th year anniversary with extra fun. Aside from the usual competitions that they are doing every year, they’ve included a lot of performances and meet and greet with different artists from different countries such as the Philippines, Japan, Taiwan, and Singapore.
One of the Guest Cosplayer from the Philippines is Diane who cosplayed iconic characters like Saber Artoria and Rin from FATE, D.VA from Overwatch, Alice Madness, Harley Quinn and more.

Japanese Film Showing
Every year, fanatics visit BOA to also watch the Japanese films they missed. The opening film for this year is Yuichi Fukuda’s Gintama (2017). It is an Action, Adventure, Comedy set in Tokyo and about a young Samurai seeking for work in an era invaded by aliens.
Another film showing on September 1 is Ajin: Demi-Human (2017) directed by Katsuyuki Motohiro. It is about a high school student who discovers that he is an Ajin, a demi-human being. He ends up a fugitive on the run because of his powers.
These two films will start each day of BOA with intensity.
Performances by Japan’s Finest
The Best of Anime never fails to bring the best Japanese acts in the Philippines. For their 10th year, they are bringing Idol Groups Yumeoi Syoujyo and Starmarie, as well as, rock band Back-On and visual kei band Uchusentai: Noiz.
Uchusentai: Noiz is actually well-known in the country and has a strong following. They’ve been covering Tagalog songs with million views per release. Some of their Tagalog cover songs are Narda, Liwanag sa Dilim, and Pinoy Ako. They’ve also released some of their original songs translated into Tagalog like Happy Tied.
