Uchusentai: Noiz or the “Space Warriors” started their band in 1996 claiming that they are from the outer space and have landed on Earth to protect peace through music. They are a five-piece rock band consisting of Angel-Taka (Lead Vocals), Masato (Guitar, Vocals), Kyo (Bass), Kotaro (Guitar), and Yamato (Drums), who have released 10 albums, 33 singles and 4 foreign songs in 23 years.
Aside from their music, Uchusentai: Noiz is also known for their humanitarian acts especially for the Philippines. In 2006, the band started charity works in an orphanage in Davao Oriental wherein they’re giving scholarships for Filipino kids from elementary, high school and college. In 2014, Angel-Taka personally visited the country to deliver donations they’ve gathered from their charity events in Japan for the families affected by Typhoon Yolanda in Tacloban.
The band also released a cover of the OPM song “Pinoy Ako” with lyrics “Ikaw ang Liwanag sa Dilim. Ikaw ang Superhero. Ikaw ang Pinoy. Kailangan pa rin ng Tacloban ang iyong tulong.”
