A Colorful Splatfest Heads to the Nintendo Switch
Splatoon 2’s colorful mayhem makes its way to the Nintendo Switch! If you’re still on the fence about this unique shooter, then here’s a review to help you make your decision. Let’s discuss why you need Splatoon 2 for your Switch.
Splatoon 2? What the Splat Is That?
Splatoon was one of the most memorable games on the WiiU. The success of Nintendo’s previous console pales in comparison to its current gen console, but Splatoon was one of the gems hidden inside the WiiU.
Splatoon is Nintendo’s take on the shooter genre, and just taking a look at it and you would know that the game was made by the Big N. It’s colorful, exciting, and very addicting.
In Splatoon, you play as an Inking (boy or girl), which is a human/squid hybrid and battle against other Inklings in a turf war. You use guns which shoot out Ink to cover the area and to splat your foes away. That is Splatoon in a clamshell and the sequel is that plus much much more.
Is the Sequel worth the Ink?
Many owners of the switch feared that Splatoon 2 would just be another port of the game from WiiU. We’ve seen Nintendo do this to games like Pokken and Mario Kart. So the fear that this iteration of Splatoon is just a quick way to bring the title in to the Nintendo Switch is certainly warranted. Luckily, I am here to report that Nintendo did major work in upgrading the franchise and fans need not worry about the enjoyment they can receive from the title.
