What People Are Saying About S&R’s Strawberry Nutella Pizza
For the month of March, wholesaler grocers S&R came up with an innovative dessert pizza that seems to be an extension of the valentine season. The heart-shaped strawberry combined with the delectable Nutella on the de facto comfort food of all time: Pizza. But how did netizens take it? Find out with this event buzz listing:
Reactions of All Kinds
1. Oozing with Anticipation
Normally, you’d expect this reaction for products that have just been launched, or something at the beginning of the promo period. However, @holaaabae’s tweet (time-stamped 9:52 am of March 28) seems to say that there are still those that have not tried the treat yet. Well, it’s either that or She must have really enjoyed the dessert pizza. Whether it’s the former or the latter, she must really, really want some of that, enough for her to use the onomatopoeic “wah” (with three a’s and h’s) while using both the flush-crying emoji AND the smile-with-tongue-out emoji. Cheer up, girl. You’ll get some. Eventually.
2. Hyperbolic Approval
Tweets such as this are expected from any happy netizen. Obviously @jemichajem enjoyed the dessert pizza. Quoting her: “S&R’s new Nutella Strawberry Pizza is amooiiizngg” followed by two slices of pizza, one strawberry and the tongue-smiley. All of these in emoji, of course. I wonder if she shared this with friends, or it was so good that she had it all to herself? Either way, it shows how much she really enjoyed the Nutella-Strawberry tandem.
3. One smug Matter-of-Fact-er
Then, there’s this tweet from @marebarrow018 that doesn’t say much, except that she “already ate the strawberry Nutella pizza from S&R”. Well, there is one emoji strawberry that followed the tweet, but it doesn’t exactly point toward the positive or the negative. Did she like it or not? Who knows. Maybe she just simply wanted to broadcast that she had some dessert pizza. Nothing wrong with that. Speculating spectators will just have to keep guessing, I guess. The only thing we know is that she had some. Let’s not put words into her mouth. That’s just for pizza.
4. Excrementally Honest
There are some people that did not like the combination, as this tweet tells us. Whether just the visual presentation or the overall dessert pizza-ness of the package, not everyone found the dessert appealing. As @IamAlmostDan tells us, “S&R’s Nutella Strawberry dessert pizza looks like poop if we’re being honest.” He then emphasizes his point with seven alternating pairs of poop and strawberry emojis (although the poop one is supposedly chocolate sundae, but if the glove fits…) Everyone’s entitled to his own opinion, as all if fair in Love and War…and Pizza.
5. Those who state the facts of the case.
Here we have exhibit A: Expectations vs. Reality (exhibit B). As promotional ads almost never look like the actual product, it might be safe to say that @ieatjillybeans was disappointed when she ordered S&R’s Nutella Strawberry Pizza. I’m sure she was expecting the exact color and consistency as show in the ad, but presented with the not-so-appetizing version (see lower photo).
So whether you’re a visual eater, or a die-hard Nutella fan, the choice of getting one of these as a dessert treat is up to you. Make sure to bring is along, though. The more, the many-er!
