Tips On Planning and Organizing Your Own Holiday-Inspired Event
Organizing holiday-inspired events is a tedious task. How do I pick a theme? How long should I start planning? Where would I outsource the materials needed to pull off the event? Knowing these event solutions will lessen the questions. Are your ready for some holiday-inspired event hacks?
EVENT HACKS WORTH REMEMBERING
The internet is your world to search for infinite possibilities. We type in search bars, event hacks and tips, event places in [insert place], where to buy theme-related finds, and so much more.
First, you have to list down all the things you think. And just simply, type away at that search bar. They’re the basics so if you learn mastery from this, you’ll be able to whip out any event easy-peasy.
Event Hack #1: Think of A Color Theme
It is easier to think of a theme if you start from the basics. How do you imagine the place to be decorated? In hues of shady blue, or strong contrast of mauve? Whatever you think reflects very much how you want to set the tone of the event. You can start by typing in your web space bar the event first. For example, I typed bachelorette party. And these are various images that came out:

These are just some that came through. By now, what you envision is becoming specific. Do you take a liking in preparing cutesy kid-like party, or you want to take sexy a notch higher by putting up alluring colors? You can even splice the event a bit and get naughty with your decors and statements.
Event Hack #2: Search for places
It is imperative at this time to set a budget in mind. From there, you can begin scouting for your holiday inspired finds and bargains. Using the above-mentioned example, I would say it is equally hard to scout for materials to be used. Bachelorette themed events are being sold in discreet places.
For other holiday finds, you can try scouting in Dapitan, Manila City. That place is a mecca.

The next thing to Dapitan would be Divisoria.

If you are from the far flung south, Baclaran would be your best bet.

Of course, this list would be incomplete if I set aside Quiapo.

Event Hack #3: Consider the place and the number of attendees
The success of your holiday inspired event largely depends on the satisfaction of your attendees. Are they the type to celebrate posh, indoor place events? Or are they game to celebrate it, kanto-style? Wherever you intend to celebrate it, there’s always that one perfect venue in every corner in Manila. Posh venues can be done in Makati and BGC. If you want to be in the heat and heart of attention grabbing skyscrapers with amazing views, Ortigas and Eastwood is the place to be. Of course, you can organize it at the comforts of your own home for maximum convenience on your end. (No travel expense yay)
Event Hack #4: Send out invites
Gone are the days when we use to send formal invites to invite people to our event. In our digital sense, we would simply create a Facebook invite and put the account of our invited guests on the list. To make things personal, you can create digital invites and send them to people via Viber, messenger, and whatever social media communication means. Don’t fret if you don’t have rad graphic artist skills. Try using Canva. It is a website that allow users to make simple design collaterals. In my own words, it’s like photoshop-friendly times 100%. Like most digital nomads, I lack in design skills to. But, thanks to Canva, I am able to design whatever I want in my free time. Sharing with you my first – and personal – invite I ever made in its original format.
It might not be the best invite ever, but it is something that I made out of heart. And like you, if you put your earnest effort in making your invite and event success, it will be.
