When you got nothing else to do, your imagination and creativity takes over. Gone are the days wherein you spend idle time as a kid because every second in making your keep counts. Downtime at work, or personal time for yourself is an enriching moment because as an adult, these are some of the moments you can squeeze in time to do what you want. Whether you are at home or at work, you can while away time and practice some of our recommended hobbies you should try when you got nothing to do.
New hobbies you can try
Gundam or scale modeling
Back in the days, everyone’s going gaga over Tamiya. Kids are busy building their cars and once they’re done, will head out to the streets to test their newly-built toy. There are even conventions dedicated for Tamiya enthusiast where they can buy spare parts for their beloved toy and compete for glory. Right now, the craze is real with gundam or scale modelling. Wanting to build your own gundam? Better to choose the right grade (mastery and accuracy of individual parts) and scale (gundam sizes) for your level. For starters, you can start with Real Grade of 1/144 scale.
Pottery / Sculpture
Getting your hands dirty is easier said than done. Pottery / sculpture involves refined motor skills coupled with visionary imagination. If you are looking to exercise your mind and your hands minus sweaty body movements, this hobby might suit you. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing your finished product being lauded by your peers – or a trophy reminder of your next best project to be added in your roster.
