She affectionately pinches your cheeks, makes blunt remarks about your weight, and sets you up with all her friends’ eligible kids. When it comes to any occasion, you know you can always rely on your ever-lovable tita. Let’s take a page from her book and learn how to practically pack our luggage for our next adventure!
Space Savers
Titas need to save as much space as they can (they’ll need it for when they bring home the pasalubongs!), so roll up your clothes instead of folding them to save space. Titas are also gonna need enough room for their collection of shawls.
For shorter trips, use small containers for your toiletries, or simply pack the miniature ones you’ve taken from your latest hotel stay (As tita would say, “Sayang naman eh!”)
Organization
Consider placing your belongings into separate travel bags within your luggage. This will make it easier to rearrange your things (due to last minute shopping) at the airport without scattering your entire wardrobe.
Ready For Any Weather
Pack a fold-able umbrella. Rain or shine, you’re gonna need it.
The Tita Kit is Life
Last but not least, bring a spacious handbag to fit in all your Tita gear (i.e. sunblock, mini first aid kit with medicine, crackers, hand sanitizer hooked to your bag, tissue, wipes, passport holder, hand fan, etc.)
You’re now ready to conquer the world as a bona fide Tita of Manila!
