Hosting a surprise bachelorette party seems like a daunting idea, but it is actually manageable with lots of help and creative juices from the bridesmaids, the bride’s sisters, and of course event gurus Victoria Court Pasig and Manila Secrets. My cousin and I are both Maids of Honor for our beloved cousin’s wedding in May. And with honor comes wedding-related responsibilities, including this. *insert wedding bells ringing* Imagine our surprise when our beloved bride sent us a link months ago, containing the responsibilities of the Maid of Honor, with a winking emoticon. My cousin and I commented in distress, “Que Horror!” “Maids of Dishonor” “Maid of Honor. Honored to be chimay.” But deep down, we knew we have to step up our game.
We planned the whole thing for only a month. For event hacks and tips in hosting a bachelorette party, I’m going to make a separate post. This post is dedicated to the wild, fun, happy, and crazy night we had. Our stripper exceeds each ladies’ wildest fantasy. I’m not kidding when I said it’s like seeing Magic Mike live!
But before there was Sebastian, our chosen performer, there were only us two MOHs who arrived two hours early to set up our chosen suite for the event. We have the Big Hive Room (maximum capacity: 20) all to ourselves. Back story: let me thank Victoria Court Pasig and Manila Secrets for being awesome angels! [Victoria x Secret = Angels]. We booked thru Manila Secrets, who coordinated with Victoria Court. Manila Secrets was gracious enough to give us a last-minute discount upon learning that we are only 13 (we anticipated for the maximum capacity but fell short). We intended to transfer to a smaller room to cut down costs but as per VC, no rooms are available. Since Manila Secrets already fully paid in advance for the room, they gave us a discount instead so that our group will not be burdened with the extra cost, and also for Victoria Court not to be confused with last-minute booking changes.
The redeeming factor of our Big Hive Room: central stage with pole! There’s a karaoke beside it. The couch and mini bar serves as the guests additional lounging area. There’s a jacuzzi too, but none of us bathe in it. There’s also a private room with a large bed behind.
We are so proud of our achievements in decorating the stage. Not so much on the balloons. We should have bought a couple more. But hey, tying those balloons aren’t easy. Our fingers went numb!
Shortly after, the guests arrived one by one. And we changed into our party clothes. Time check: 7:30 and the guests are not yet complete. We needed to buy time so we told the fiancé to stall a bit. [Long story short: the fiance tricked our cousin into believing they are attending an all-white attire party. She was so clueless that her fiancé is in cahoots with our plan haha!] At this point, we are texting our guests and making sure that they are on their way already. Thank God Manila traffic is kept at minimum. They were able to make it just before the bride-to-be arrived! Just look at her expression upon removing the blindfold. Legit!
Our guests include her college friends in Manila, family, and Naga friends – who had to endure an eight-hour trip. The two guys you are seeing are her close friends in college and we wanted them to be part of the celebration. Never mind if we break the all-girls bachelorette party code. We are ever so thankful for these amazing bunch of people who made the extra effort cumming to the party. One of the guys even had to fight severe case of flu!
After surprise pleasantries and group picture taking, the guests had their dinner, while my cousin and I are waiting for Sebastian’s arrival to brief him. The bride doesn’t even know we hired a Caucasian stripper! Sebastian stayed with us for an hour, did macho strip teasing for the bride first. Later on, she shared the love and Sebastian teased the ladies. He was a gracious host to screaming ladies who are so game to participate in three (3) kinky games. He also gave two sex toy giveaways to lucky ladies who won the game! Sorry folks, no pictures are allowed while show is ongoing. We have Sebastian and the kinky memories all to ourselves! I’m telling you, my head hurts from all the screaming. Sebastian was also game to answer our questions-mostly about his line of work, and take pictures afterwards. For a Caucasian, I honestly find him a bit reserved. Borrowing the words of my cousin, “ambait niya nakakahiya siya bastusin.”
I have to give credit to Manila Secrets for the success of our bachelorette party. The host is a professional. And the games are made in good taste. All of us are new to this and we are glad that their bachelorette package sets the standards high for us. Their booking process is also simple. You just have to make a down payment. And they will send you the step-by-step process in email how to customize your party: from the food, to the e-vite, to the performer customization form. They also gave us discount to their online shop wherein we can purchase sex toys as giveaways.
We were all reeling from the games after Sebastian left, that’s why we decided to play our own prepared set of games.
See what we did to those bananas? This s**t is bananas. B-A-N-A-N-A-S! Our own naughty games are also made to elicit fun within our circle. Just take a look at how we are enjoying ourselves.
What’s a party without giveaways? Penis lollipops for adults never fails. And yes, they taste yummy too! If you want to find out where we bought them, as well as our other bachelorette props and hardest questions, just follow my next blog post on event hacks and tips related to this bachelorette party.
Party Verdict Pros:
- Victoria x Secret = Angels. With this setup, our bachelorette party needs are covered by 70%. Location. Food. Performer. The E-vite is a bonus. My cousin and I just have to take care of the minute details, like cake, souvenirs, decoration, and the like.
- Streamline communication. Since we booked through Manila Secrets, any questions or changes regarding our booking and other event matters are being addressed by them. They’re all ears. We love it!
Party Verdict Cons:
- Bland food. Maybe because the food was already cold when my cousin and I decided to eat that’s why it tasted like that. In any case, we would have appreciated if they provided us food warmer so that we can manually heat our food. It is time consuming to call a staff just to request to heat the food.
- Cinderella-ish time. Party rooms are good for 5 hours use only (7 p.m. – 12 a.m.) In excess of that, we have to pay on an hourly basis. We didn’t bother asking the staff if there’s an additional price to pay if we decided to stay for the night. Any party organizer would appreciate to receive a complimentary stay for the night. We paid for the package anyway.
