WITH FOOD, WE BLEND
If there’s one thing that binds people together, that is FOOD! As Irish playwright George Bernard Shaw said, “there is no sincere love than love of food.” The perfect experience is when you share good food with good friends while having good conversation. Since valentine’s is around the corner, we decided to go on a challenge, and that is to find a 4-course meal for 2 at Php 650. So, here are our finds:
For starters, we got sigara boregi, a Turkish cigar shaped deep fried appetizer composed of feta cheese and phyllo dough, then dipped in yoghurt garlic sauce or hot sauce. This costs Php 50 for four (4) pieces. Then for our main dish, we got the couple bundle cheeseburgers promo that costs Php 280. As additional filler, we got a load (they are generous in serving) creamy carbonara which costs Php 99. For dessert, we got cupcakes that is Php 145 for 3 pieces. And lastly, to refresh us, we got iced tea with ashitaba and iced tea with dalandan that cost us Php 60 for 2. All in all, our total food costs Php 634, which is a bit lower than our Php 650 goal. Isn’t that awesome? If you have Php 1000 for valentines, you can still use the excess money for transportation and buy your date a single rose to complete your Valentine experience.
