When we say the word ‘celebrity’, what often comes to mind are people who are singers or actors. Sometimes a celebrity is also called an artist, whether they are dancers or famous figures in social media with hundres of thousands of followers on facebook and instagram. But there are cases when these celebrity artists are in fact, real artists! Men and women who pursue a craft that transcends the camera or the internet and works with their hands on actual art. Let’s take a look at some of these local celebrity artists!
At the top of our list is Heart Evangelista-Escudero. This very famous actress has turned her heart to painting. She now is a critically acclaimed painter and has had numerous exhibits and shows to date. She paved the way for being more than just a ‘pretty face’ and showed that art comes with a lot of heart.
Another siren on the screen has put her talents to use on oil and canvass. Supermodel and show host Solenn Heusaff has also been showing off her skills as a painter. It goes to show that a great face and a great body often comes with great talent.
Singers are usually labeled as people who just sing and nothing else. They aren’t even considerd as actors or host. But veteran pop balladeer Christian Bautista has a few tricks hidden up his sleeve. As an accomplished UP graduate of Landscape Architecture, he designs and refurbishes gardens and landscapes with as much passion as his singing!
