If you aren’t in on the hype that is Netflix’s new masterpiece “Nailed It!” then you’re DEFINITELY missing out.
You’d probably think: why would I want to watch another baking reality show? – But it’s actually really not the kind you’d typically see. “Nailed It!” showcases amateur bakers attempting to replicate professionally made desserts. And [SPOILER ALERT] the aftermath of these enthusiastic contestant’s creations end up being the most absurd and insanely hilarious baking fails.
The BEST Worst Attempted Baking Fails
Trump Cake

Honestly speaking, it doesn’t look that bad. You have to somewhat admire Talton’s artistic eye. Yes, it may have not looked exactly like a Trump portrait but at least we get a picture of what he’d look like when he’s tired. As Byer said upon looking at the creation, “looks like the stress has really gotten to him”.

Well, the judges DID say that it tasted better than it looked – so he gets plus points? “I think Mr. Fancy had some of the Manhattan and kind of just face-planted down the subway tunnel,” the baker said. But what made it all the more hilarious was the dramatic music that played as the icing slid off in slow motion. Again, thank you Netflix.
Hot Tub Cake

He tried? It really doesn’t look that bad the longer you stare at it. As a contestant, you’d expect retired police officer Sal Venturelli to follow the “law” but he actually did not even turn his tablet to read the instructions. As a result, we get an “elephant” that could easily be compared to its own poop instead.
Self-Portrait Sugar Cookies Pt. 1

If you observe hard enough, the more it looks like a 3rd grader’s attempt of a Picasso painting. And since a 3rd grader made it, you’d appreciate the creation more. That’s the kind of vibe we’re getting from this attempt.
Princess Tower Cake

It really don’t look that bad – the princess actually looks kind of cute at first glance. The only main concern is why is her head so big? But then again, the contestant may have wanted to avoid discrimination and shed light to princess giants who need saving as well. It’s not just pretty princesses that need help you know!
Volcano Cake

At least the color schemes are almost accurate! We also have to admire that the dinosaur is as big as the volcano. Who knows? In an alternate world, there were volcanoes that were the same height as dinosaurs. We love a contestant who thinks outside the box!
Emoji Cake
Source: Netflix
Okay, this attempted replica may not have looked like the kissy face emoji but doesn’t it represent some kind of emotion? Hear us out: this contestant’s work of art paints a picture of how we feel after a long stressful day. Van Gogh would be proud.
Pirate Donut

There are no words to explain this masterpiece in all honesty. And we can’t use the same excuse as the vodka-soaked cake pop one – but at least for that one, we kind of understood what the contestant was trying to make. As for this creation, we’re not exactly sure what to make out of it. But it sure did make us laugh! and that’s all that counts.
Self-Portrait Sugar Cookie Pt. 2

Yes, that’s right – her solution to achieving those Kylie Jenner lips was through the use of spicy Cheetos. Just like the debate of whether or not pineapples should be on pizzas, we’re wondering if it’s the same for Cheetos as a cake topping.
