The Pop Princess is coming in June 2017
Just as a flash from one of the many paparazzi bulbs that go off with her every move, Pop Princess Britney Spears made the surprise announcement earlier this week about staging a Manila Concert. Yes, if you have not heard by now (probably disconnected from the real world), she’s coming to Manila for the first time in June. This year. Here’s what the internet has to say about that. Cue Event Buzz in 3…2…1…
See What the Netizens Have to Say about Britney’s Coming
1. The ‘OMGs’ Have it.
The ever-reliable three-letter reaction has started to fill the net ever since the announcement was made. In just a few days, social media has been flooded with excited reactions studded with OMG, its close cousins O.M.Goodness, HOMAYGAHD, OHMYGOSH, and others just like that. As @itstellar tweeted: “@britneyspears is coming to Manila OMGGGGGG Im so happy”. Yes, the level of happiness can be determined by the number of G’s on the expression. The more G’s, the happier and more excited. G? G. OMG.
2. Flooding the Block Market with Donor Organs.
Disclaimer: These are tweets found off the net and are in no way our own practice or suggestion. Now that we got that out of the way, some netizens would do anything just to get to watch Brit strut her stuff and sing her hits onstage. Netizen @jerroe22 even tweeted (to Adam Lambert, no less) that he’d be selling his kidney and his rib-cage (who would want to buy a rib-cage?) just to be able to watch the concert. “If you know someone please refer me”, he says. Will do, chief.
3. Yes, but No, but Yes, but…
I’m sure @arekushin isn’t the only one who is troubled about the situation. On the one hand, there is that deep urge and desire to see Britney light up the stage with her moves and mesmerize with her flashy costumes (or lack thereof). I mean, hey, it’s Britney F-in Spears! But, on the other hand, “The body is willing but the wallet is weak”. Or empty in most cases. Why the sudden surprise?! Couldn’t she have given time for people to save up?! Yeah. It’s a lesson in financial Management right there. ALWAYS HAVE EXTRA FOR BRIT.
4. No Words. Just the Feels.
Sometimes, words cannot describe the feeling/s when faced with a certain situation. This tweet from @boykillsrobot sums things up quite nicely. There’s a photo (from a video or gif, probably) of a guy who seems to be bawling his eyes out, with his hand in front of his face. Whether he’s extremely happy that it’s finally happening, or extremely sad that he won’t be able to go, we can only guess. But one thing’s for sure, @boykillsrobot is most probably feeling the exact same thing. We feel you, bro.
5. By Royal Decree.
Sure, he may not be king, but @ericfloyd sure knows how to post a tweet. As he informed the twitter world, “Let it be known that on this day, 28th of March 2017 (formerly Lady Gaga’s birthday), Britney Spears announced her first ever Manila concert”. I was actually expecting some fanfare, but whatever, right? The announcement itself was something fit for the Pop Princess.
So, is everybody ready for this once-in-a-lifetime event? Let us know what you will be doing on this day.
