New KPOP Songs Released
“Bam Ratatata Tatatatata

Bam Ratatata Tatatatata
Oh my God”
~ I AM THE BEST (2NE1)
The Hallyu wave is really here in the Philippines! There are a lot of KPOP fans in the country who became a fan because of an idol. They knew every single song they have released; they were updated about every project their idols do; and they even memorized their songs’ lyrics and have researched its meaning. You’ll easily spot one when you encounter them.
But really, where did that all begun?
If you’re a passionate Korean pop music listener, you have probably noticed that most of the artists debuting nowadays have experienced intensive training even before they set foot at the stage. According to Soompi in their review on the evolution of KPOP music, they said that back in the early 2000s many singers were almost “pressed into service” and viewers could tell if the talent on stage was well-prepared or not since they were also focusing on overall stage presence.
“Now we all hear that singers are trained three to five years before they debut. Record companies fine-tune everything from vocal to image to dancing skills before the singer is allowed to set foot onstage. One of the best examples of this is 2NE1. Everyone heard about them for a few years even before they debuted, and they seemed like veterans the first time they stepped on stage. It had set the bar even higher, showing how thoroughly new singers needed to be trained before debut. Fans will accept no less,” Soompi also added.
In terms of the music genre, most KPOP artists and bands promote different genres to showcase their talents. “Group members are allowed to go solo at the same time now and often promotes a different kind of music than the groups’,” they shared.
